EIPAL-Egyptian International Company for Aluminum

For the first time in Egypt, Egypt National Cleaner
Production Centre (ENCPC) has implemented a pilot
project for recycling the scrap metal alloy dies (H 13
Tool Steel) to produce new dies with the same
specification of the original, and solve the national
problem of accumulation of steel scrap from all
companies of aluminum production companies. The project
results in annual net saving for the company estimated
by L.E 672,000 annually. As a result, EIPAL won the
prize of the "Business Plan Competition" organized by
the Ministry of Trade and Industry in cooperation with
the Industrial Modernisation Centre. |

Ezz Steel and Rebar's Factory |
ENCPC has implemented the pilot project of "Application
of Slag (mixture of elements oxide) in Road
Constructions". This project aims to:
-
Reuse
of non valuable slag as valuable aggregate in road
construction.

Minimize large area occupied by this huge amount of
slag & reuse it.
-
Solve
the national problem of accumulation of slag from
all iron & steel companies
-
Eliminate
dumping cost
-
Raise
the quality of roads and reduce the maintenance
costs of roads.

Sinai International
Company for Marble |
Marble and quarries
Technology Centre presented the following services to
Sinai International Company for Marble:
- An intensive
training course for the leaders about the
international regulations of manufacturing and
trading marble products
- Three training
courses presented by Italian experts to assist in
raising the technical efficiency of 20 employees in
the fields of production and quality
- Two training
courses for 20 new employees
Those services directly affected the company plans
of development to enter into the global market and
raise their annual exports to 50% of total
production.

Mac Carpet |
The Productivity and
Quality Improvement Centre (Kaizen) helped Mac Carpet
Company to overcome the problem of increasing the
production waste that reached 23%. Kaizen Centre
provided training courses for the engineers and
technicians of the company. The Centre also applied the
Japanese standards relevant to improving quality,
productivity, industrial engineering and protective
maintenance at the company. This help reducing
production wastes to 13% only. |
